A partner for the second consecutive year of Design Miami/Paris, Paragone asserts its curatorial role by presenting "Le Bain du Collectionneur", a work by Edgar Jayet, an emerging figure of a new generation of design and interior architecture.
Since its inception, Paragone has expressed the ambition to go beyond the strict notion of intermediation, creating contexts that reveal its talents and open new spaces of visibility. With Le Bain du Collectionneur, this curatorial approach comes into full measure.
Through this project, Edgar Jayet deploys a collection conceived as an intimate manifesto. Between design, history, and craftsmanship, the ensemble brings together a wardrobe, trunks, and a daybed as fragments of an imaginary travel furniture. Produced in his own studio, which he runs between Venice and Paris, he has everywhere expressed the ambition to anchor his practice in a demanding dialogue with exceptional savoir-faire. Inspired by Barbara's letter — Si je t'écris ce soir de Vienne — this collection evokes the ruptures of the Viennese Secession.
