Bassin d'Arcachon, a Premium on the Waterfront

A premium destination

Between ocean, bay and forests, the Arcachon market asserts its status as a premium destination, driven by sustained demand and structurally limited supply.

Bassin d'Arcachon, a Premium on the Waterfront

From the tip of Cap Ferret to the Dune du Pilat, the Bassin d'Arcachon concentrates rare assets: a preserved natural environment, a temperate climate, quality infrastructure and enhanced accessibility thanks to the high-speed rail line linking Paris in under three hours. The property market here is characterised by strong tension, particularly in the high-end segment. Immediate proximity to the beach, sea or forest views and calm surroundings are decisive criteria. In Arcachon, the Pyla-sur-Mer, Moulleau and Ville d'Hiver sectors remain highly sought after, while Cap Ferret is particularly appealing for its locations between ocean and bay.

The most coveted properties are front-line villas, contemporary or local-style properties, and apartments with terraces and views. Family houses with gardens or pools, even those requiring work, also attract strong interest. The clientele is predominantly Parisian, supplemented by expatriates and a growing European presence. The development of remote working favours use as a second or semi-main residence.
